#28. Marry my best friend

I've never been through a more complicated, beautiful, stressful, precious, overwhelming, tearful, expensive season before in my life.

At the time, it was infinitely stressful that we had half a dozen churches fall through, invitations weren't sent out until 5 weeks beforehand nor the photographer till 4 weeks beforehand, the venue wasn't officially booked till 2 weeks before the event, and a mountain-load of other details and opinions had to be figured out... But now I'm grateful that the actual hardcore planning got pushed to the last few weeks of our engagement...

It gave us time to actually prepare for our marriage, instead of just our wedding day.

We made our marriage covenant before God outside under a huge oak tree on a beautiful fall afternoon surrounded by our family and loving friends.

... and count ourselves infinitely blessed.

101 in 1001 Defined

The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days? Many people have created lists in the past — frequently simple goals such as new year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
